InsuranceGenie.ca is an information and lead-generation platform. Using it is free, and using it does not create an insurance contract, a brokerage relationship, or any entitlement to coverage. Advice, quotations and policy placement come only from the licensed organizations we introduce you to.
1. What this service is — and is not
InsuranceGenie.ca (“the platform”) provides general insurance information, comparison tools and a request service that connects you with participating, appropriately licensed insurance organizations. The platform itself is not an insurer, insurance brokerage or insurance agency, does not provide insurance advice, does not issue quotations, and cannot bind coverage.
2. Information, tools and rate examples
Articles, tools, calculators, rate examples and savings figures are general information. Figures are illustrative ranges tied to fixed reference profiles and dated at generation; they are not offers, quotations or representations of what you will pay. Verify anything that matters with the licensed professional handling your request.
3. Your request
Submitting a request authorizes us to share the information you provide with the licensed organization named to you before submission, so it can contact you about your request. Consent and data handling are governed by our Privacy Policy.
4. Ask Genie
Ask Genie is an AI assistant. It explains insurance concepts in general terms, cites the reference pages it draws from, and declines questions that require a licensed person — including whether your policy covers something, what you should buy, and whether to sign a contract. Its answers are not advice and may contain errors; report anything wrong and we will correct the underlying reference.
5. Acceptable use
Do not scrape at volumes that degrade the service, misrepresent your identity in a request, submit another person’s information without authority, or attempt to interfere with the platform’s operation.
6. Intellectual property
The platform’s content, design, and the Genie character are owned by InsuranceGenie.ca or its licensors. You may link to any page; do not republish substantial portions without permission.
7. Liability
The platform is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on general information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here alters the responsibilities of the licensed organizations that advise you and place coverage.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Disputes are subject to the courts of Ontario.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the updated terms.
